Just modify the CSS files. That is the beauty of SWFUpload over other Flash based upload solutions. The UI stays in the HTML and CSS rather than being part of a Flash Movie that you don't have any power to change.

I have changed most font size to 9pt,which the smallest font size look like good for Chinese Characters.Have a look at the effect:
